Data analysis: Attride-Sterling 2001
By justateen | December 7, 2007
Attride-Sterling, J. (2001) Thematic networks: an analytic tool for qualitative research. Qualitative Research 1, pp. 385-405 This is an earlier paper and nowhere near as rigorous as the one by Braun and Clarke. The idea of a thematic network means to me having a visual representation, a spidergram of your themes so you can analyse it easier. What I am wondering is whether I may synthesis codes to quickly, i.e. have a tendency to go to higher order codes very quickly as this is how I think. So I will need to be careful when coding to start with basics first and not go too abstract too quickly. And also, my criteria for what is important in the text and what I am looking for is about what helped the project. What in this email dialogue was recurrent and important to the development of the project. Otherwise nothing new, which is quite reassuring.
